Sometimes it may not feel that way. We see a lot of "bad" stories on the news and on social media every day, and it seems that a lot of the time, people only share the negative stories within the football world.
One of the best parts of working in sports is finding and sharing the good stories, the ones that make you tear up (or full out cry, in my case) and feel warm and fuzzy inside. I was informed about this story of Oklahoma great Brian Bosworth and current wide receiver Sterling Shepard in November, and was lucky enough to sit down with Bosworth in New York City during the College Football Hall of Fame induction and have him share his side of the story with me.

This is the story of how Brian Bosworth, a former Oklahoma linebacker and a member of the 1985 National Championship Team, orchestrated a moment to give back to the son of one of his former teammates on OU Senior Night. Sterling Shepard is the son of Derrick Shepard, who passed away suddenly in 1999. Bosworth has known the younger Shepard since he was a kid and the moment Sterling receives a special gift from his father's friend is just priceless.
So remember, especially during the holidays, there are still some beautiful stories out there.
Happy Holidays!
