My reading story

My love for reading has been a constant thread throughout my life, starting as a young child when my mom and I would spend our days together at the library, always followed by ice cream. I was probably the only kid ever grounded from reading.

That curiosity has never gone away. For me, reading is how I connect to people, places, and experiences beyond my own. I tend to gravitate toward stories about everyday lives and the small, human moments that make them memorable. I’m always up for a good thriller or mystery, and I love historical fiction and nonfiction for the chance to learn something new.

Now, with two young kids (ages five and almost one), I’m discovering the joy of passing on my love for books while finding unique stories for them to enjoy. There’s nothing I love more than recommending a book, whether to a kid or an adult, and hearing that it resonated.
